Ventilated Facade Design: A Play of Volumetrics
In 2009, architects Lilian Dal Pian and Renato Dal Pian of Dal Pian Arquitetos Associados were entrusted with the task of designing a new building for the heart of Guarulhos city. To realize their vision, they turned to ULMA Architectural Solutions’ ventilated facade system, incorporating Stoneo panels. These panels, crafted from high-quality engineered stone, enabled the architects to manipulate shapes and volumes, casting intriguing shadows and geometric patterns on the building’s exterior.
Customized Aesthetic with Shield Plus® Technology
The facade of the theatre was meticulously crafted in a bespoke color and texture, tailored exclusively for the project using ULMA’s Shield Plus® technology. This customization allowed for a unique aesthetic that perfectly complemented the architectural vision.
Project Progress and Completion
While the project is slated for completion in early 2019, nearly 100% of the ventilated facade has already been installed. The ease of installation offered by ULMA’s panel system has played a pivotal role in adhering to project timelines, ensuring efficient progress towards the finalization of the SESC Headquarters.
