These grills are crafted from responsibly sourced wood and assembled ex-works to create grill elements using metal dowels or multiplex cross-connectors. They meet stringent fire safety standards, making them suitable for various architectural applications.
Grill Dowel
Slats connected by a 12 mm black aluminum or steel dowel.
Ideal for ceilings with sporadic access.
Installation using metal J- or U-clamps on a T-24 profile.
Dimensions: 300/450 x 900/2700 mm.
Grill Backer
Milled slats connected to black multiplex cross-connectors with glue and rivets.
Suitable for walls and ceilings.
Direct attachment to a wood or metal frame.
Screw method allows individual element removal.
Especially suitable for schools and sports halls.
Dimensions: 300 x 2700 mm.
Can be installed in T-24 grid with a U-clamp.
Grill Cassettes
Milled slats connected to black multiplex cross-connectors with glue and rivets.
Installation in a system ceiling with T-24 grid in 600 x 600 mm or 1200 x 600 mm panel distribution.
Pre-prepared cassettes installed below.
Each cassette can be individually removed.
Dimensions: 600 x 600 mm, 1200 x 600 mm.
Acoustic Performance
Fire-retardant polyester wool fitted to the grill element absorbs sound energy, conceals engineering structures, and prevents building dust. Sound absorption occurs through the open area between slats.
Materials
Slat cores consist of MDF engineered solid wood (ESW) with high-quality real wood veneer, melamine, cork, or spray-applied paint finish. ESW ensures dimensional stability, allowing freedom in slat widths and thicknesses, and guarantees slat straightness.
Installation
Hunter Douglas Architectural provides installation equipment, including special clips for quick and straightforward installation. Grills can be attached using metal J or U clips on T-24 grid or directly to a wood or metal frame.
